Citybus stop names on LR stops use "LR XX Stop" in lieu of KMB's XX Station.

For stop names with "LR XX Stop" format (on CTB, MTR Bus and GMB stops), use the CTBLR template.

Hi, since I found this wiki few months ago from the original Hong Kong bus wiki (Chinese version), I would like to help expand the English version of the wiki. However, I am not sure if I will break the rules since I am new to editing pages in FANDOM. I am mostly likely to make errors based on not translations, but rather the templates and sources.

「毓華街」is Yuk Wah Street, NOT Yuk Wah Crescent.

The above wiki has been set up yesterday and 2 new cross wiki templates were set up: Hkaviation and See hkaviation.

From time to time I found many problems exist on Jasongeorge2020's translation:

• Original links split into two parts making it unconnected

• Translation errors of terms and errors in grammar

• Translation errors causing incomprehensible texts and repeated texts which were not fixed manually before publishing

• Date format: Please use British format such as this one: 23 December 2023

• Forcibly adding English titles on Chinese-only links

• Newspaper article translation problems: Wrong newspaper publishing company names (which you can check for it via Google search), force translation of newspaper article titles without interpreting its meaning causing translation errors

• Publishing your text without proofreading and error-fixing (such as reconfirming place/road names in English by checking its corresponding Chinese version article)

I am wondering which type of translation tool the user uses and how you translate these texts which ended up with many errors that I have to spend time fixing it.

I have already asked the user to stop translating due to his poor quality via message wall, and he has not yet stopped so. Out of any choice, I have to post this to the discussion wall to raise the user's attention.

So when you translate an article please use your common sense and your understanding on some Chinese terms! This will reduce the errors in the resulting text.

The articles listed within the Articles requiring clean up or rewriting category are all copied directly from Wikipedia by the previous owner of this wiki. As shown in the EBTHK Chinese version admin Tcshek's user page (translated content):

"Although Wikipedia has information about buses in Hong Kong, much of it is unproven and even misleading and incorrect, plus Wikipedia cannot always monitor the information about buses in Hong Kong, so its credibility is doubtful. EBTHK, on the other hand, emphasises on the authenticity of the information, coupled with good management, and at the same time, there are also some exclusive information provided by bus enthusiasts (including photos of buses, bus enthusiasts' events, and further information on bus routes, etc.), which Wikipedia is not able to realise."

EBTHK requires content based on sources which makes it stand out from Wikipedia and just building up content based on the style you edit in Wikipedia is somehow contrary to the the rationale why EBTHK is here.

So please do not make edits based on the original content but instead, translate the Chinese version into English ones as I did in the "New Lantao Bus", "Long Win Bus" and "New World First Bus" articles.

As Google translate is not highly accurate for mass article edits, the use of it is strongly discouraged. Instead, the use of DeepL translator is encouraged, but please do final checks on the translated text to make sure no grammatical errors and place name errors exist in the submitted edit.
